KAL Annie MaloneyCable Factor Sampler Throw, join a KAL at Ravelry featuring several stitch patterns from the Cable Factor pdf series. “This KAL is for a pieced, richly cabled throw, of the sampler variety. The stitch patterns are from The Cable Factor Series stitch collections. There are opportunities for variations in the finished size, by using fewer blocks than given, or a different weight of yarn. If using all of the blocks as in the sample, the full throw in light worsted weight measures 48” x 60”, and uses almost 3000 yards, on 4.5mm / US7 needles.”

Description

From the author…
“This stitch collection consists of cable designs with a distinctively different appearance, created by unusual movement of the traveling stitches. Although these stitch patterns are non-traditional, great care has been taken to create harmonious movement within the patterning. In many instances the progression of stitches is not predictable, unlike the arrangement of more instinctive cable designs. There’s nothing really difficult about knitting them, however, as long as one follows the directions closely.
Distinctive details include various knots and plaits, very open patterning, out-of-the-ordinary shapes, and sinuous pathways. Some just seem extra special to me, not particularly unusual, simply pleasing to my eyes.”

NOTE: stitch patterns have both charts and written instructions.
